Experiences in/around Dubrovnik
EATING LOCALLY
Dubrovnik will, among other things, win you over with its gastronomic offer. In addition to restaurants, you can enjoy great food in someone's home, on a boat, on an uninhabited island, or during a day trip to a new country. Here we suggest experiences that are more than great food.

MALI STON OYSTERS DEGUSTATION
Oysters Right from the Sea
For avid oyster lovers, this is an experience not to be missed!
On his little boat, a local fisherman takes you to his oyster farm, harvests oysters straight from the sea and serves them on the boat so that you can enjoy one of the freshest seafood moments in your life. The experience takes place in Mali Ston Bay, a fifty-minute drive from Dubrovnik.
Mali Ston Bay has been home to oyster (and mussel) farms since Ancient times and is a renowned culinary destination in Croatia. (Mali Ston oysters received the EU-protected designation of origin in 2020.)

SEA TO TABLE IN MALI STON
Fisherman's Cooking
This unique culinary experience best represents what Mali Ston Bay has to offer. A fisherman is your host during this one-on-one adventure. He'll take you to his island and introduce you to oyster & mussel farming. In addition to serving you some raw oysters, he'll cook a local mussel dish for you.
Enjoying oysters and mussels fresh from the sea in such an authentic setting will likely become your holiday's highlight.

NJEGUSI SMOKED PROSCIUTTO AND CHEESE
Montenegrin Delicacies
Njeguši Njeguši is a small mountain village in Montenegro, not far from the coastal area of Kotor. It is widely known for its smoked prosciutto and cheese. Simple driving through this dreamy little village is an experience in itself during a day trip to Montenegro. Still, it would be a pity not to stop and taste the authentic delicacies that the locals are so proud to offer.

BOSNIAN FOOD
The Pot We All Love
During your visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, you can try Bosnian food in one of the local restaurants. Bosnian cuisine is a result of many influences, primarily Turkish, Mediterranean and Central European. It is closely related to the cuisines of the other Balkan countries; therefore, it is hard to say what is actually Bosnian and what is regional cuisine. However, Bosnian cevapi/burek/baklava are all synonymous with exquisite, not only within Bosnia and Herzegovina but in all the Balkan region as well.
